Splash Tips

Here's How To Trick Out Your RSVP Button

The main goal of you event page is to encourage your invitees to RSVP.

We know this. You know this. Everyone knows this.

But with a huge amount of pressure put on your little RSVP button (it's the most used aspect of your page, after all), you need to make sure it looks its best. So to make it pop, here's some helpful tips on how to do it.

GET WITTY

While the typical "RSVP" goes far, it's worth adding some funky flair to grab your invitees attention. At Splash, we're big fans of using copy that fits the theme of your event. Throwing a Beyoncé-themed birthday party? Try using words like: "Bow Down" or "My Hands Up" for your button.

How to do it:

1. Place your cursor over the default text "RSVP"

2. Double click on the text and delete it

3. Type your witty statement that makes all of your attendees' sides split (no pressure)

Add a hover state

I’m not saying you should hide behind a bush and scare all of your attendees when they arrive, but people love surprises.

Try adding some reverse display type when they hover over your RSVP button to get them psyched, it's an easy way to surprise a guest without raising their blood pressure. And If you truly want to excite, add a clever GIF.

How to:

1. Hover over RSVP
2. Select "Style" (the lightning bolt) which will open the layout tab

3. Select "Edit Hover"

4. Select "Background" then upload the GIF or image of your choosing

You're killing it.
