How to Pinpoint Your Biggest Influencers in Splash

Savvy event planners know that VIP guests can help them spread the word, attract other VIP guests, and bring more clout to their event.


To Splash, social influence is a big factor in what makes a VIP a VIP. So while your obvious VIP choice is a celebrity, here's a quick and easy way to surface those hidden gems within your own RSVP list.

1. Leverage Your Contacts in the Splash CRM

The Splash CRM collects every single guest that has ever been invited or attended one of your events through Splash. To help weed them out, use powerful filters to find guests that have RSVP’d, checked-in, or even better, spent money to attend. That way, you can easily shoot them a personalized email or social mention. (After all, these are your loyal guests and biggest brand enthusiasts.)

2. Check Out the Most Influential List

Using Full Contact API, the Splash CRM automatically curates a golden list of your Most Influential contacts. This includes anyone who has the bragging rights of more than 500 Twitter or Instagram followers. Get five of those guests into a room, and you just reached more than 2,500 people with photos of your in-office crawfish boil. Boom.

3. Hit the Big 3: Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook

Are you holding a speaker series where your guests will be live tweeting? Did you spend your entire budget on a vintage photo booth that posts straight to Instagram? Spend five minutes thinking about what social platform your event lends to most, then use Splash’s CRM social filter to find your top contacts on that platform. That way, you can make sure you're targeting guests who will help you spread the word where the conversation (and activities!) are happening on social.
