This month’s release is all about creating smoother experiences for you and your guests.

From new Splash Studio join options to invoicing and VAT on ticketed events, check out how our latest updates benefit everyone.

Better “join” experience for Networking Circles in Splash Studio

While your speakers show up to your virtual event camera ready, the rest of your audience might not.

They could be anywhere doing anything – like tuning in as they’re chowing down on a rack of leftover ribs from Chilis.

To give attendees some much desired prep time, they can now set camera and audio preferences before joining networking circles.

This allows them to decide whether they want to join the circle with their camera and mic turned on or off. They can also choose to update their display name with details like company name or title to create a virtual networking name tag.

Bonus: This is the same display Hosts and Presenters use before joining backstage.

New invoicing functionality for ticketed events

The ticket updates keep on coming.

ICYMI, we recently launched an international ticketing solution that supports events on a global scale. You can read all about it here.

Last month we released some big updates across the ticketed guest list.

This month, we made updates to the purchasing experience for you and your attendees.

Here’s what’s new:

1. Attach invoices in confirmations emails

Hosts can now include invoices, or ticket receipts, as PDF attachments in confirmation emails.

When selected, guests will receive a summary of their purchase with event information and ticket receipt details included.

Check it out in the example below.

2. Add VAT to invoices

This next update is particularly exciting for organizers in EMEA who have Value-Added Tax (VAT) requirements

VAT details can now be added to invoices.

To add VAT, pop into Event Settings and enter your VAT number, business name, and business address.

If VAT details are entered, organizers will be required to send invoices.

If VAT details aren’t entered, organizers will have the option to disable invoices.

Note: This update ensures accurate invoicing and does not impact tax settings managed through Stripe.

Just a friendly reminder – Splash cannot advise whether VAT should or shouldn’t be applied to your events. We trust the tax advisors of the world to provide that info.
