Our February release offers even more ways to create picture perfect event pages.
Fresh out of beta, the new Image Element↓redefines what's visually possible in Splash, allowing you to edit imagery with more ease and precision.
You can add the Image Element to your events today, or try it out with the new Empower Branded Theme↓, the first template built top to bottom with this new functionality.
But that's just the beginning.
The new Multiply Branded Theme↓combines form and function. It's one of the most visually innovative templates in our collection and perfect for hosting multi-day events.
Finally, February delivers on two popular feature requests, both of which can be categorized as efficiency hacks: min/max validation on registration forms↓ and the ability to hide Splash's default footer↓.
Users in roles with advanced design capabilities can add the new Image Element to their event pages. Once the element is added to an event, all users are able to use it to upload and edit images.
Says Splash Product Manager, Lizzy Hindman-Harvey, "Images are probably the most memorable part of any event page."
That's why she's been leading an initiative to make it easier for event designers to "more precisely manage images" in the platform.
After a successful beta run, the new Image Element is now in General Availability.
To simplify image editing in Splash, the new element uses contextual tools that make changing dimensions, aspect ratio, positioning, and accessibility text much easier. Plus, it allows you to upload images in .svg format (a designer's BFF).
Nobody has spent more time designing in Splash than Lizzy, who led Creative Services for five years before joining our product team. New tools, like the Image Element, she and her team develop are a direct result of her own experience as a Splash designer.

A group of lions is called a pride. And it's with great excitement that we introduce you to a pride of releases totally worth lionizing:
How are they related?
The Empower Branded Theme is the first-ever Splash template built using the new Image Element.
So not only is it a dynamite event theme, but it uses the latest technology for precise and intuitive image editing.
Okay, now to "Empower" — what's with the name?
March 8 is International Women's Day, a global celebration of gender equality and female empowerment.
Empower was designed for International Women's Day events.
As you might expect, Empower starts with powerful stock photography, carefully chosen so you can get your event up and running quickly.
And because it's built with the flexible new Image Element, you'll notice fresh new shapes, gradients, and icon styles.
Yes, it's perfect for IWD — but it also has a timeless layout that can be used for just about any type of event.
Empower is available for you to use today. You'll see it among Recommended themes next time you create a new event.

Multi-day events are a popular topic among Splash users.
While there are many ways to do them, the simplest is to use a single event page to collect registrations.
The new Multiply Branded Theme was built specifically for the multi-day, single-page use case.
It features:
Design wise, Multiply is loaded with NBD (never been done) design tricks.
The event title dynamically repeats — collage-style — in the header block. And when you scroll down the page, a parallax-style image creates the feeling of a fishbowl lens.
To use Multiply, just create a new event and look under the Conferences event type.

The Number question type and min/max validation is available to all users.
As event marketers, we love our guests unconditionally.
But wouldn't we love them just a little more if we didn't have to follow up with them so often?
Max/Min Number Validation is an easy way to ensure guests are registering with the right information — the first time around.
Whenever you ask for a numerical response — such as an age requirement — you can set a minimum and/or maximum response value.
If the guest's response is outside the range you set, they'll be prompted to resubmit their RSVP.
How sweet is that? This functionality can be used on any question created with the Number question type.
Min/Max Number Validation
Min/max number validation can be used on any form question that uses the Number question type.
The ability to hide the default Splash page footer is available to users with a paid Splash plan.
Over the years, you've given us feedback that the default Splash page footer doesn't always work for every event.
And that makes sense — we let you customize pretty much everything else. Why draw the line on such a tiny piece of real estate?
As of this month's release, you can officially hide the default Splash footer by adjusting a simple setting in your Event Settings.
Sometimes it's the smallest updates that make our users the happiest. We have a feeling this will be one of them.
Hide the Splash Footer
The option to hide your Splash page footer can be found in Event Settings.
