One AWSome Event Template: Reinvent Branded Theme

The Reinvent Branded Theme is available for all users with a paid Splash plan.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of one of the seminal events in all of field marketing, AWS re:Invent, the learning conference hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the global cloud computing community.

If you're planning one of the many re:Invent activations happening in Las Vegas (or virtually), we have exactly what you need to create a truly AWSome event — and quickly.

The new Reinvent Branded Theme is perfect for any field event in your playbook.

Per Ash Ifkovits from Splash's Creative Team: "It's a beautifully packaged field marketing events template filled with engaging content block options and logic that can help scale your hybrid events programs."

Let's unpack that.

In terms of design, this theme was inspired by the style of AWS conference site, and features a "pinned" left sidebar nifty navigation and easy registration.

The theme also features some reinventing of its own, sporting fresh content blocks to reinvigorate your event description, speakers, and agendas.

Finally, Reinvent is optimized for hybrid events.

Out of the box are content blocks for FAQs and Health & Safety, a conditional form to collect virtual vs. in-person attendance, and email templates that address the needs of a hybrid audience.

More Branding and Automation: Splash + Zoom 2.0

Coming Soon: This release will become available to all users with a paid Splash account shortly after the September release.

If you use the Zoom Webinars integration, you know it's all about automation:

  • Automated webinar setup
  • Automated registration & check-in sync
  • Automated sync back to your CRM or Marketing Tech

With this release, your integrated Zoom webinars are automatically embedded in the Virtual Event Page, allowing you to offer attendees a fully branded and gated virtual venue.

The upside, as Splash's Sr. Product Manager Dana Fleishaker puts it:

"This will not only help save you time and further automate the event creation process, but will also help to ensure that your data is correctly synced across all Splash event touchpoints as well as your external systems, eliminating room for error and helping to ensure consistency. "

Here's how it works:

  1. As you normally would, create a virtual event in Splash using the Zoom integration.
  2. Add the Virtual Event Page to your event — your Zoom Webinar ID will be automatically entered in the Embed Settings.
  3. In your Splash emails and calendar invites, add the [virtual_event_url] tag. This provides guests their personal access link for joining your in the Virtual Event Page.

The result: Same data and automation. Same hosting process in Zoom. Transformed guest experience.

Note: If you prefer hosting webinars in the Zoom app, no sweat! The integration still fully supports it

Delivering the Goods: Email Sender Optimizations

The Email Sender is available to all Splash users.

They say every time a list loads quickly an event marketer gets its wings.
Okay, maybe not.

But with the latest Email Sender optimizations, there's at least reason to shout joyfully to the heavens.

If you're managing large guests lists in Splash, you'll notice a few delightful improvements:

  • Faster send times when emailing to very large lists
  • Faster load times and increased stability in the email reporting dashboard
  • Faster load times and list count calculations when adding large lists of recipients

TL;DR - Recipients will load faster. Guests will get their emails sooner. And you're much less likely to encounter the occasional time-out.

If you have a need for speed, get out your CSV files and take Email Sender for a joyride.

Come Build With Us: Field Marketer's Day Workshop

ICYMI: We created a national holiday (no, seriously) celebrating the heroes who tame chaos, craft experiences, and get BIG results.

That's right: Now and forever, September 23 is officially Field Marketer's Day.

Among festivities, we're hosting a Build-Along workshop as an exclusive training opportunity to develop new skills and get inspiration from other field marketers using Splash.

What is a Build-Along?

A Build Along is a hands-on training workshop where you'll be using Splash to create reusable event marketing assets — in this case, a branded hub and event pages for field programming all under an hour.

You'll be guided along by a Splash product expert and joined by other customers with similar use-cases.

Sound like fun? The workshop is filling up fast, so grab your spot today.
